The Glen Isla homestead is one of the oldest homes on the island. Soak-up the country-house ambience and extensive heritage gardens!
Adjacent to a pristine North-facing sandy beach (100 metres to the water), Glen Isla House is close to the Phillip Island Nature Park (nightly Penguin Parade and Koalas), and other attractions including the Cowes Golf Club, swimming & surf beaches, Phillip Island Winery, native animal parks and the International Grand Prix Circuit.

The Anderson Suite Cottage offers grand scale old-world charm and elegance. The suite is quite luxuriously appointed in every respect. It is a separate heritage cottage (once originally part of the heritage house), with period furnishings, sumptuous king-size mahogany four-poster bed and large private spa bath in the en-suite bathroom. The sitting area of this suite has a captivating log fire and genuine Persian rugs with DVD/TV and surround-sound hi-fi. A perfect suite for a romantic interlude.

All of these rooms have superb garden vistas from their veranda, and Parisian-style chairs and table outside the bedroom door overlooking the gardens.

Food and Wine

Dinning Table Dinning Lounge

The restaurant dining room at Glen Isla is reserved exclusively for resident guests. With a professional restaurant kitchen and resident chef, Glen Isla serves a gourmet style breakfast crafted from available fresh local ingredients.  Breakfast is served in the elegant dining room overlooking the gardens (or on the veranda overlooking the gardens).

Table d’hôte dinner is available by prior arrangement. A fixed-price 3 or 4 course table d’hôte dinner is served on most Saturday evenings by arrangement. A private cellar with an extensive collection of Australian varietal wines, and some hard to find vintages will compliment your dining experience. Ian is a wine enthusiast and avid collector, having travelled to wine regions all over the world over many years.

Well travelled hosts Ian and Madeleine are keen members of Slow Food International (www.slowfood.com) and occasionally host Slow Food Gastronomic Indulgence Dinners at Glen Isla. Much of the subtle European influences at Glen Isla derive from their travels in France, England and Italy over many years.

Glen Isla House accommodates a small number of guests, to ensure personal attention and absolute privacy in a tranquil heritage garden atmosphere.
